Solution

We know that,

percentage \: of \: composition \: of \: element \:  =  \frac{mass \: of \: element}{mass \: of \: compound}  \times 100

Molecular formula of acetic acid(ethanoic acid) is CH3COOH

MW = 12 + 3 + 12 + 32+ 1

MW = 60

Molecular weight of hydrogen in acetic acid = 4

Percentage of hydrogen =

 \frac{4}{60}  \times 100

= 6.66 %

In the same way,

Percentage of composition of nitrogen in ammonium carbonate

=

 \frac{28}{96}  \times 100

= 29.16 %
