ANSWER

Distance=240km

Let the speed of 1st train ( passenger train)= x km/hr

Then , speed of express train=( x+20) km /hr

Time taken by passenger train------->>>>

 = \frac{distance}{speed}

 = \frac{240}{x} hr

Time taken by express train --------->>>>>>

 \frac{240}{x + 20} hr

Now according to given condition passenger train take 2 hr more than the express train

So eq become

 \frac{240}{x} - \frac{240}{ x + 20} = 2

On solve this eq

 \frac{((x + 20 - x)) \times 240}{x(x + 20)} = 2

 \frac{20 \times 240}{ {x}^{2} + 20} = 2

240 \times 20= 2 \times ( {x}^{2} + 20)

4800= 2 {x}^{2} + 40

 = 2 {x}^{2} + 40 - 4800

 {x}^{2} + 20 - 2400

 = {x}^{2} +60x -40x- 2400

so on solve

=X(x+60)-40(x+60)

=(x+60). (x-40)

mean x= 40, or x=-60

but value is positive

because speed is scaler

so x=40m /hr

HENCE

speed of passenger=40m/hr

speed of express = 40+20
= 60 m/hr
