Where S=(a+b+c)/2 and a,b,c are the sides of triangle.

S of larger triangle, s=(120+122+22)/2=132

Area of larger triangle=√{132(132-120)(132-122)(132-22)}

=1320m²

S of smaller triangle, S=(26+24+22)/2=36

Area of smaller triangle=√{36(36-26)(36-24)(36-22)}

=245.926m²

Area of shaded portion=

Area of larger triangle - Area of smaller triangle

= 1320-245.926=1074.074m²
