If ab = 5 , a-b = 2 , find a^3 - b^3​

Answer:

Given: ab=5

a-b =2

squaring both sides

(a-b)² = 2²

a² +b²-2ab = 4

a²+b² -2*5= 4

a²+b² -10 =4

a²+b² =14

Now...

a³-b³

(a-b)(a²+b²+ab)

2 * ( 14+5)

2* 19
