let ABCD is a rhombus with diagonals AC and BD which intersect each other at O.

AC=34cm =) AO=17 cm

let BO =x and AB=18 cm (given)

BY pythagoras theorem

c^2 =a^2 + b^2

18^2 = 17^2 + x^2

324=289 +x^2

324-289=x^2

35=x ^ 2

=) x= sq root of 35 cm

diagonal BD= 2* sq root of 35 =Sq . root of

70 cm

Area=1/2 * product of diagonals

A=1/2 * 34 * Sq. root of 70

A=17 *Sq. root of 70 cm^2
