16 must be replaced by any other number to solve this. If 16 would we there it could not be solved.It must be 11 on the place of 16 and if we replace 14 with any other number then it would also be solved

SOLUTION :-

let

A + B = 14 ---------(1)

A + C = 15 ---------(2)

B + D = 16 ---------(3)

C - D = 10 ---------(4)

From equation (1) - eq . (2)

B - C = -1 --------(5)

From equation (3) + eq. (4)

B + C = 26 --------(6)

from equation (5) + eq. (6)

2B = 25

B = 25/2 = 12.5

Now , A = 3/2 = 1.5

So , D = 7/2

& C = 27/2

Therefore , the result is -

[ 3/2 ] + [ 25/2 ] = 14

+ +

[ 27/2 ] - [ 7/2 ] = 10
