TENDON:-
- Arms
- Legs
- Head
- Torso
❒ These are included under the dense connective tissue that attach the bone to skeletal muscles. They have great strength but its flexibility is limited to an extent.
LIGAMENT:-
- Knees
- Shoulders
- Elbow
- Ankles
- Other joints
❒ They are yellow fibrous connective tissue and contains elastin and collagen fibres and connect one bone to another and found mostly in the joint regions.
CARDIAC MUSCLES:-
- In the heart
- In some regions of lungs
❒ They are cardiac muscular tissue which are involuntasy in nature. They are only found in the walls of the heart. They are cylindrical and branched and have one centrally located nucleus.
CARTILAGE:-
- Ends of bone
- Tip of Nose
- In external ear
- Voice box(Larynx)
- Trachea
❒ It is also a connective tissue softer than bone but most elastic and flexible than bone. It is made up of proteins and sugars. Do you know? It forms the embryonic skeleton of vertebrates and skeleton of shark etc.

- Tendons are cord like, strong, inelastic structures that joins skeletal muscle to bones.A attendorn is a white fibrous tissue which has great strength but limited flexibility.
- It consists of parallel bundles of collagen fibres, between which are present in rose of fibroplasts.
- Tendons can be found at in arms, legs, torso and head too.
- Ligaments are elastic structures which connects bones to bones.Aligament is highly elastic and has great strength but contain very little matrix in it.In ligaments, some elastic and many collagen fibres are bound together by areolar connective tissue.
- Ligaments strength and the joint and permit normal human but prevent over flexing or over extension.
- Ligaments can be found in joints of Knees, ankles, shoulders and elbows.
- Cardiac muscles are composed of branched fibres and the branches join to form a network. These muscles show the characteristics of both smooth and striated muscles.
- The intercellular space of cardiac muscles are filled with abundant loose connective tissue supplied with blood capillaries. These muscles have stripes of light and dark bands.
- These muscles are found in walls of the heart.
- Cartilage is a specialised connective tissue which is compact and less vascular. Its widely spaced out cells and extensive matrix is composed of proteins and is slightly hardened and by calcium salts.
- The matrix of a catalyst is a delicate network of collagen fibres and living cells.Blood vessels are absent in matrix.
- Cartilage is found in ear pinna, nose tip, epiglottis, intervertebral discs, ends of some long bones and lower ends of ribs , rings of trachea.
