i) Resistivity is a measure of the resisting power of a specified material to the flow of an electric current.

Or, Resistivity is the electrical resistance of a conductor of unit cross-sectional area and unit length.

ii) We know,

Power = Voltage X Electric current = V I

or, Power = V x \frac{V}{R} = \frac{V^{2} }{R}

or, R = \frac{V^{2} }{P} = \frac{240 X 240 }{600} = 96 Ohm

For finding current we have

V = I R

or, I = \frac{V}{R} = \frac{240}{96} = 2.5 A
