Let no. of 2 coins be = 4×

Let no. of 5 coins be = 2×

Let no. of 10 coins be = 1×

SO,

= 2(4×) + 5(2×) + 10(1×) = 140

= 8× + 10× +10× = 140

= 28× = 140

= × = 140/28

= x = 5

so,

2 coins = 4×5 = 20 coins

5 coins = 2×5 = 10 coins

10 coins = 1×5 = 5 coins

let the no of Rs.2 coins be 4x

let the no of Rs.5 coins be 2x

let the no of Rs.10 coins be x

Total amount = Rs.140

Amount of Rs.2 coins = 8x

Amount of Rs.5 coins = 10x

Amount of Rs.10 coins = 10x

=> 8x + 10x + 10x = 140

=> 28x = 140 => x = 5

∴ No of Rs.2 coins = 4x = 20

No of Rs.5 coins = 2x = 10

No of Rs.10 coins = x = 5
