consider a conductor of resistance "r "length "l " thickness ,"d" resistivity"rho now this conductor is cutted into 4 equalparts what will be its new resistivity of each of these parts ? why?2. find the resistance if it is connected in parallel and in series 3. out of the combination of resistors mentioned above in the previous part ,for a given voltage which combination will consume more power and why? please answer it by full explanation

Explanation:

•Restivity is independent on length . So, If you cut conductor in 4 equal parts it's restivity not change .

Let, resistance of conductor is R = Ω l/A

where Ω = resistivity (say)

•If it is cut into 4 equal parts the resistance of each part is Ω l/4A because area of cross section of each part is same but length of each part become l/4

Now , if all parts is connected in series then equivalent resistance is same as original .

•If it is connected in parallel the it's equivalent resistance is 1/8 times the original .

•power is more disssipiated in series because resistance is more .
