v = 25cm

f = 10cm(errect image formed by convex lens)

u = ?

1/v - 1/u = 1/f

1/u = 1/v - 1/f

= 1/25 - 1/10

= 2 - 5/50

1/u = -3/50

u = 50/-3

u = - 16.6 cm

Lens formula,

1/f  = 1/v - 1/u

1/u = 1/f - 1/v

     = 1/10 - 1/25

1/u = 3/50

u = 50/30 = 16.67

Therefore object distance is 16.67  from the lens
