⇒ a²x - aby = a³ - ab². - - - - - (4).

Adding equation (3) and (4), we get.

⇒ b²x + a²x = 2ab² + (a³ - ab²).

⇒ b²x + a²x = 2ab² + a³ - ab².

⇒ b²x + a²x = a³ + ab².

⇒ (b² + a²)x = a(a² + b²).

⇒ x = a.

Put the value of x = a in the equation (2), we get.

⇒ ax - by = a² - b².

⇒ a(a) - by = a² - b².

⇒ a² - by = a² - b².

⇒ - by + b² = a² - a².

⇒ - by + b² = 0.

⇒ b(- y + b) = 0.
