so,
x+y=12
new number
ones digit be x
tens digit be y
so,
10y +x= 10x+y +54
so
9y-9x=54
y-x=6
y+x=12
2y=18
y=9
so
x =3
So putting in equation
9y-9x=54
gives
9×(9)-9×(3)=54
81-27=54
54=54
