Let x = L of 36 M H2SO4 to be used

let y = L of 1 M H2SO4 to be used

x + y = 1

total moles H2SO4 = 36 x + y = 1 L x 6 M = 6

x+y=1

36x+y = 6

Solving the above two equations:

36x-x = 6-1

35x=5

x=0.1428 L

x+y=1

y=1-0.1428

Therefore,

y=0.8572 L

Or y= 857.2 ml
