Given:-

  • radius of each circle id 1cm .
  • side touches each other

Find:-

Area of the left over part .

Solution:-

area of square inside the circle = (1+1)²

=> (2)²

=> 4

area of each quadrant of a circle = \frac{πr²}{4}

=> \frac{π(1)²}{4}

=> \frac{π×1}{4}

=> \frac{π}{4}

:. Area of 4 quadrants of circles = \frac{π}{4}×4

=> π

Therefore area of left over part = 4 - π

=> 4 - π
