i) \: v = u + at \\ 0 = u + ( - 4) \times 3 \\ u = 12
therefore initial velocity is 12m/s.
ii) \: if \: speed \: is \: 12 \: metre \: per \: seconds \\ then \: distance \: travelled \\ in \: 3 \: seconds = 12 \times 3 \\ = 36m
So, The accident may occur in 3 seconds with the speed of 12m/s.
iii) \: the \: driver \: shows \: the \: kindness \: to \: the \: innocent \: man.

pranav004: i think ii) part will yes as accident will happen bcoz distance travelled in 3s is 36m but in ques its wriiten that he applied brakes 20 m away
