The area of ABCD is 38.5 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Because AB is 6 cm and AB opposite side is CD = 5 cm

that is, opposite side are equal AB=CD=5cm

If we take the point where a symmetry line divides AB as P

the triangle formed is APD

PD=BC(opposite sides),7 cm

Line AP = AB-PB

=6-5 = 1 cm

Area of traingle APD is 1/2×1×7=3.5

Area of rectangle =l×b

=7×5=35

that is, the area of ABCD is area of rectangle+area of triangle=35+3.5=38.5
