⇒ 0.4y + 3x = -1
⇒ 0.4(3.125) + 3x = -1
⇒ 1.25 + 3x = -1
⇒ 3x = -1 - 1.25
⇒ 3x = -2.25
⇒ x = -0.75
Therefore, the values are x = -0.75 & y = 3.125
