Since humidity is the amount of moisture or water vapour present in the air.So, if the humidity is high it means that the outside medium already has a lot of water vapour.Therefore,it will not take more water vapour on evaporation of water.Thats why,the rate of evaporation decreases with increase in humidity in an aqueous solution.
