here is your answer mate.....

although both forms a straight angle hence a + b = 180°

then a -2b = 30°

then subtracting eq i from ii

we get....

(a+b )= 180

- (a-2b)= 30

then

3b = 150 then b= 50°

then a = 180-50 = 130°

hope it helps you...... mark as brainliest...

Given:

a - 2b = 30....(1)

To find the value of a =? and b=?

Again we know that a and b form a

linear pair.

So,

a + b = 180....(2)

we know that linear pair is 180°

Now since equation (1) and (2) both

has same sign so, substract it.

If they have opposite sign add them

But here they have same sign so substract them.

a-2b=30

a+b.=180

- - -

__________

-3b=-150

 = > b= \frac{ - 150}{ - 3}

 = > b= 50

so,the value of b is =50

Again put this value in equation (2)

to get the value of" a"

a + b = 180

a + 50 = 180

 = > a = 180 - 50

 = > a = 130
