Refer to pic

First divide the pic as show in the given fig and name it

As in the given fig

ABC is a triangle of height = 3cm

base = 8cm

so,

area of triangle ABC = 1/2 × h

= 1/2 × 8 × 3

area of Triangle ABC is 12 cm^2

now, in take BCDE which is rectangle

base = 10 cm

length = 8 cm

area of rectangle = b

10 × 8

80 cm ^2

now add

area(ABC triangle) + area( BCDE rectangle)

(80 + 12) cm^2

92 cm^2

hence,

option (c) is correct
