Hiii friend,

X -2Y = 90......(1)

3X -Y = 40......(2)

From equation 1 we get,

X -2Y = 90

X = 90+2Y.......(3)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

3X -Y = 40

3 × (90+2Y) -Y = 40

270 +6Y -Y = 40

5Y = 40-270

5Y = -230

Y = -230/5

Y = -46

Putting the value of Y in equation (3)

X => 90+2Y = 90 +2 × -46

X => 90 + (-92) = 90-92 = -2.

Hence,

X = -2 and Y = -46

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU.... :-)
