Question :-

rationalise the denominator of the following. 1/√3+√2

Solution :-

by using identitie :-

(a + b) (a - b) = a² - b²

now, by putting values we get

\rm :\longmapsto\:  \:  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3 + 2} }  \times  \frac{ \sqrt{3}  - \sqrt{2}  }{ \sqrt{3} -  \sqrt{2}  }  \\  \\ \rm :\longmapsto\:  \:  \frac{ \sqrt{3} -  \sqrt{2}  }{ (\sqrt{3})^{2}  - ( \sqrt{2} ) ^{2} }  \\  \\ \rm :\longmapsto\:  \:  \frac{ \sqrt{3} -  \sqrt{2}  }{3 - 2}  \\  \\ \rm :\longmapsto\:  \:  \sqrt{3 - 2}

now by substituting values we get,

1.732 - 1.414 = 0.318

so therefore our required answer is 0.318
