Given:

1) OQ is the angular bisector of angle BOC.

this means angle BOQ = angle QOC

let us assume , angle BOQ = angle QOC = X

2) OP is the angular bisector of angle AOC.

this means angle AOP = angle POC

let us assume , angle AOP= angle POC = Y

we need to find,

angle POQ = angle POC + angle QO

angle POQ = X + Y. ------1

as we know, Angles of a straight line is 180°

sum of angles on AB = 180

angle BOQ + angle QOC + angle AOP + angle POC = 180

X+X + Y+ Y = 180

2(X+Y) = 180

X+ Y = 90. ------2

so, from equation 1 and 2, angle POQ = X + Y = 90°

hence proved that angle POQ = 90
