Answer:

i) 1.3333 m/s

ii) 0 m/s

iii) -1.3333 m/s

Explanation:

=> To be known,

Velocity = d/t

= change in displacement/change in time

Getting data from graph

i) d1 = 0 m

d2 = 4 m

d = d2 - d1 = 4-0 = 4 m

t1 = 2 sec

t2 = 5 sec

t = t2 - t1 = 5-2 = 3 sec

velocity = d/t = 4/3 = 1.3333 m/s

ii) d1 = 4 m

d2 = 4 m

∆d = d2 - d1 = 4- 4= 0 m

t1 = 5 sec

t2 = 7 sec

∆t = t2 - t1 = 7 - 5 = 2 sec

velocity = ∆d/∆t = 0/3 = 0 m/s

iii) d1 = 4 m

d2 = m

∆d = d2 - d1 = 0-4 = -4 m

t1 = 7 sec

t2 = 10 sec

∆t = t2 - t1 = 10- 7= 3 sec

velocity = ∆d/∆t = -4/3 = -1.3333 m/s
