QUESTION⤵️

If \:  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1 }{ {x}^{2} }  = 62 \: then \: find \: x +  \frac{1}{x}

ANSWER⤵️

\:  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1 }{ {x}^{2} }  = 62 \:

ADD 2 BOTH THE SIDES

\:  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1 }{ {x}^{2} }  + 2 = 62 \: + 2

\:  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1 }{ {x}^{2} }  + 2 \times  {x}^{2}   \times  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} } = 62 \: + 2

 {(x +  \frac{1}{x}) }^{2} = 64

 {(x +  \frac{1}{x}) }^{2} =  {8}^{2}

 {(x +  \frac{1}{x}) } =  \: plus \: minus \: 8

 {(x +  \frac{1}{x}) } =  + 8 \: or \:  - 8
