On solving
20-4x+5x- xsquare/14-2x+7x-xsquare=1
20 + x - x {}^{2}  \div 14 + 5x - x {}^{2}  = 1

20 + x - x {}^{2}  = 14 + 5x - x {}^{2}
20 + x = 14 + 5x
20 - 14 = 5x - x
16 = 4x \\ x = 4
