 \frac{0.5x - 4}{2.4x + 6}  =  \frac{ - 5}{3}  \\  \\ 3(0.5x - 4) =  - 5(2.4x + 6) \\  \\ 1.5x - 12 =  - 12.0x  - 30 \\  \\ 1.5x + 12x =  - 30 + 12 \\  \\ 13.5x =  - 18 \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 18}{13.5}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 180}{135}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 60}{45}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 20}{15}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 4}{3}  \\  \\  \\ hope \:  it \: helps....

Answer

 \frac { - 4}{3}

In the questions Given

 \frac{0.5x - 4}{2.4x + 6} = \frac{ - 5}{3} \\

Find : the value of x in the equation.

now \\ \\ \frac{0.5x - 4}{2.4x + 6} = \frac{ - 5}{3} \\ \\ \\ cross \: multiplication \\ \\ 3(0.5x - 4) = - 5(2.4x + 6)\:

1.5x + 12 = -12.0 x - 30

1.5x + 12x = -30 + 12

13.5x = -18

x = \frac{ - 18 \times 10}{135} \\ \\ x = \frac{ -180 }{135} \\ \\ x = \frac{ - \cancel{-36}}{\cancel{27}}

x = \frac{ - 4}{3}

therefore the value of x is equal to  \frac{ - 4}{3} .
