1. The monthly income of man is ₹8640

He spends 2/5 of his salary on food

so, 2/5 of 8640 = 2/5×8640

=2×1728

he spends 3/10 of his salary on rent

so,3/10 of his 8640=3/10×8640

=3×864

=₹2592

He spends 1/4 on miscellaneous expenses

So , 1/4 of 8640 = 1/4 × 8640

=8640/4

=₹2160

Therefore, his total expense on food, rent and miscellaneous expenses are

₹(3456+2592+2160)

=₹8208

His savings =Income - Total Expenses

=8640-8208

=₹432
