Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume theta as "A"

Given

tan^2A = 8/7

Solution

(1 – sinA)(1 + sinA)/(1 + cosA)(1 – cosA)

=> (1 – sin^2A)/1 – cos^2A)

[Because (a + b)(a – b) = (a^2 – b^2)]

cos^2A/sin^2A = cot^2A

We know cot^2A = 1/tan^2A

So

cot^2A = 1*7/8

= 7/8

The answer is 7/8

Hope this helps you
