4x =2y+3

x=2y+3/4 -------> (1)

Substituting value of x

2x+5y = 1

2×( 2y+3/4) +5y = 1

2y+3/2 + 5y = 1

2y+3+10y/2 = 1

2y+3+10y = 2

12y = -1

y = -1/12

Substituting value of y in 4x-2y = 3

4x-2y = 3

4x - 2 (-1/12) = 3

4x +2/12 =3

4x +1/6 = 3

24x+1/6 = 3

24x+1 = 18

24x = 17

x = 17/24

Therefore values of x and y are (17/24, -1/12)
