1. If AB is parallel to CD and PR is a transversal then,<APR =<PRD (alternate interior angle)

=> 70 +y =100

=>y=100-70

=>y=30

Now, 70+y+z =180 (linear pair)

=>70+30+z=180

=>100+z=180

=>z=180-100

=>z=80

Also, AB is parallel to CD and PQ is a transversal

then, x=70 (alternate interior angle)

2. x= 80 (alternate interior angle)

Now, 80+40+y=180 ( angle sum property of a

=>120+y=180 triangle

=>y=180-120

=>y=60

Also, x+y+z =180

=>80+60+z=180

=>140+z=180

=>z=180-140

=>z=40
