Answer:

24. (837+363) + 208 = 1200 + 208 = 1408

25. (162*162*62) - 162 = 1627128 - 162 = 1626966

26. (346*100) - (346*2) = 34600 - 692 = 33908

27. (a) 18 and 35

28. Working =

Length of the room = 825 centimetre

Height of the room = 450 centimetre

To find the lobgest tape which can measure these three dimensions we have to find the HCF of these three numbers.

Prime factorisation of 825 = 3*5*5*11

Prime factorisation of 675 = 3*3*3*5*5

Prime factorisation of 450 = 2*3*3*5*5

HCF = 75

So 75 is the number which can measure this three dimensions respectively.

29. First we have to find the smallest number, which  is divisible by 6,8,12 by using LCM.

LCM of 6,8,12 = 24

But  here 24*2, 24*3, 24*4,and 24*5 are also divisible by 6,8,12

But 24*2=48, 24*3=72 ,24*4=96 are two digit numbers.

So the smallest 3 digit number which is divisible by 6,8,12 =24*5=120

30. It's 960. As, in 8 table the answer is 120. In 10 table the answer is 96. In 12 table the answer is 80.

31. Given that traffic light at three different road crossing change after every 48 seconds,72 seconds and 108 seconds respectively.

48 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

72 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

108 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3

Taking LCM for,

48, 72 and 108 i.e (2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3)= 432

We have,

432 seconds = 7 min 12 seconds

Hence,after 7 min and 12 seconds they will blink simultaneously.

32. The maximum capacity of container = H.C.F. of (403, 434, 465)

Factors of 403 = 13 x 31

Factors of 434 = 2 x 7 x 31

Factors of 465 = 3 x 5 x 31

H.C.F = 31

Therefore, 31 liters of container is required to measure the quantity.

33. 95 is the answer, because LCM is 90 and 90+5 is 95
