Let G be the midpoint of AE name BG=h (given)

By using similarity of triangles

\frac{BG}{AE} =\frac{BF}{DC}=\frac{h}{20} =\frac{h^1}{10}

This implies  h=2h^1

As we can see in the figure clearly given that FG=36 cm

FG=BF+BG

36=h+h^1

36=2h^1+h^1

36=3h^1

h^1=12 cm

Therefore;   h=24cm
