To find the area of given figure We will follow these steps :-

▶️ First join points LC ,CF, IF and IJ. ( refer attached picture for diagram )

▶️ LC = CF= IF = IJ = 1 unit

▶️ After joining those points we will get 5 square (ABCL , CDEF , FIHG , JILK and LCFI) of equal length ( 1 unit ).

▶️We will find out area of one square and then we will multiply it by 5 ( in order to find out area of whole figure ).

We know that :-

Area of square = (side)²

=> Therefore, Area of square LCFI = (1)²

=> Area of square LCFI = (1)²

=> Area of square LCFI = 1 sq unit

Now , area of give figure = 5 × 1

=> 5 square units

Answer :

Area of given figure = 5 square units

Additional-Information :

Area of circle = π r²

Area of square = (side)²

Area of rectangle = length × breath

Circumference of circle = 2πr

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( length+breadth)

Perimeter of any figure = sum of all sides of that figure
