Solution

We have to convert 3 dm 2 cm 5 mm into mm , note that among all digit 5 is already in terms of 'mm' the only digits we have to convert is 3 and 2 which are in dm and cm respectively.

We know that ,

$: \dashrightarrow \sf1 \: dm = 100 \: mm \\ : \dashrightarrow \sf 1 \: cm = 10 \: mm$

Hence ,

• 3 dm = 3 × 100 mm = 300 mm
• 2 cm = 2 × 10 mm = 20 mm

Now , we have all digits in mm, thus we will now add up all the digits .
