s = 10 cm = 0.1 m ( 1m = 100cm )
v^2 = u^2 + 2as
0 = ( 50 )^2 + 2 * a * 0.1
0 = 2500 + 0.2 a
-2500 = 0.2 a
a = -2500 / 0.2
= -12500 m/s^2
Therefore, retardation offered by wall is -12500 m/s^2
