1) The picture a shows hot water in it and the picture B shows that cold water is being poured in the hot water.

2) The arrows in the given picture represents that the container's thosed larts are pushed in i,e., Collapse.

3) The can collapsed because there was warm water in the container and if cold water was poured in it the cans parts collapsed. As per the reaction of cold water. In easy way when we put our hands in warm water and then put the same hand in cold water ,a sensation occurs i,e., we fee much cold even when the water is not too cold.
