Please don’t get confused with the title of the article, your knowledge is absolutely correct otherwise! In the modern India, Shimla is not the summer capital of India. I don’t think we have any such concept nowadays. Though I have heard during the British era and even after Independence during Jawaharlal Nehru's times...Shimla was considered the summer capital of India and if you visit the place you will definitely get to know why! Royalty is definitely associated with Shimla, with beautiful colonial buildings, churches; the famous Mall road and an interesting combination of modernity with beautiful landscape encapsulate Shimla.
