Step-by-step explanation:

When base is AD

area of parallelogram = Base ×height

Area of parallelogram= AD ×BM

1680 =42×BM

BM = 1680/42

BM= 40cm

When base is AB

area of parallelogram = AB×DN

1680 =35×DN

DN = 1680/35

DN = 48 cm

BM= 40cm,DN =48 cm

let,

BM=x cm

AD=42cm

area=1680 sq. cm

so,

area of parallelogram=(height × base)

=>1680=(x × 42)

=>1680=42x

=>42x=1680

=>x=1680/42

=>x=40

so, BM=x cm

=40 cm

let,

DN= y cm

AB=35 cm

area=1680 sq,

so,

area of a parallelogram=(h×b)

=>1680=(y×35)

=>1680=35y

=>35y=1680

=>y=1680/35

=>y=48

so, DN=y cm

=48cm
