AB= 2x+4

AE=3y+8

according to ASA (ANGLE SIDE ANGLE) RULE

triangle ABC ~ ADE (ABC IS congruent TO ADE)

THUS, AB= AE , BC=DE ,AC=AD

( SUBSTITUTE AB , BC ,AE AND DE)

*2x+4=3y+8

y= (2x-4)/3

substitute y in BC=BE

x=2y

x=2×(2x-4)/3

3x=4x-8

4x - 3x = 8

● x=8 ●

SUBSTITUTE x=8 in y=(2x-4)/3

y=[(2×8)-4]/3

y=(16-4)/3

y=12/3

● y=4 ●

therefore, x=8 and y=4
