first compare it with -v/u

  • magnitude( without sign) of m >1 means v is larger then u
  • and second conclusion is that both of them are positive. if we put object in front of mirror then image is also formed must in front of mirror.

now compare it with h'/h

  • again first h'>h
  • size of image grater then size of object
  • it is negative means image of object obtained at 180 degree phase angle . for example if object is placed above principle axis then image formed below the principal axis.
