Required Answer :

a) -11/16<13/16 ( they are like fractions)

b) lcm = -598

 \frac{ - 9}{ - 13} \times \frac{52}{52} = \frac{ - 468}{ - 676} \\

 \frac{36}{52} \times \frac{ - 13}{ - 13} = \frac{ - 468}{ - 676} \\

  \frac{ - 468}{ - 676} = \frac{ - 468}{ - 676} \\

therefore ,

 \frac{ - 9}{ - 13} = \frac{36}{52} \\

c) lcm = 56

 \frac{5}{8} \times \frac{7}{7} = \frac{35}{56} \\

 \frac{ - 9}{14} \times \frac{4}{4} = \frac{ - 36}{56} \\

35/56>-36/56

therefore,

5/8>-9/14

Definition:

  • when the denominators are equal, hence it is like fraction
  • when the denominator are different , hence it is unlike fraction.
  • Fraction is a number that represent psrt of whole
  • to check greater number, we should check lcm value and multiply it
