pls tell why 1.43 bar is a rational number .....a humble request plzz answer fast..

Let x = 1.43 

x = 1.4343 -------- (1)

Multiply equation (1) with 100

= > 100x = 100 * 1.4343

= > 100x = 143.43   ----- (2)

subtract (2) from (1), we get

= > 100x - x = 143.43 - 1.43

= > 99x = 142

= > x = 142/99.


Therefore 1.43 bar can be represented in rational number as 142/99.

multiply 100 on both the side
100*x=1.4343*100
100x=143.43
100x=142+1.43
100x=142+x
100x-x=142
99x=142
x=142/99
