Durgapur 16th January: The people of Bidhannagar are suffering from an acute power crisis for the last two weeks. The power routinely turns off at nine in the morning and is restored late in the evening.
The residents of the area are agitating regularly against these frequent power cuts but the State Electricity Board is turning a deaf ear. They do not respond to the pleas of the people and the authorities have taken up a very arrogant attitude.
There are four multi-speciality hospitals in the area. They are at dire straits. The blood bank is on the verge of closure. Since the water supply is related to electric supply there is a dearth in water as well.
All schools have had to close temporarily. Some restaurants have been shut down. Due to the power cuts, many people are being affected. Accidents are occuring frequently. People cannot do their work properly.
To top it all, many people are facing financial losses as they are not being able to work due to power cuts. The studies of the children are also being affected.
Robberies and crimes are also on the rise. If this continues the power packed city will soon turn powerless.

Answer:
MARK AS BRAINIEST!!!
Explanation:
A power cut, sometimes called a power outage or blackout, is a word for when the electric power does not work in an area. It is sometimes caused by a power line (or electricity cable) falling down, but may also happen due to routine maintenance. In poor countries, such as many in Africa, there are regular power cuts as more people try to use the electricity than there is to go around. An uninterruptible power supply can protect sensitive equipment such as computers or other electronics during a power cut, allowing it to be properly shut down.
Frequent power cuts in our area have become a very big problem in our day to day life. There is hardly any area which is not affected by this problem. The whole society and system are paralysed for the time being.
We are suffering from this problem from several days. We are not getting proper electric current for our work. It has become a headache thereby obstructing our daily life routine. We are not able to use our gadgets because of this load shedding and thus we have become digitally blind. In this hot and humid summer we are frequently falling ill and also not getting a proper sleep. Students are the worst sufferers of this problem. Our annual examination is knocking at the door we are not able to study properly and also we are unable to prepare fully for coming examination.
