Pls write the requirements required for conducting an experiment to prove that chlorophyll is necessary for photosynthesis

take a plant with varigated leaves with non-green and green areas

place the plant in sunlight for 48 hours

pluck a leaf and perform starch test

u will see that the parts where the green colored pigment is present, on pouring the iodine solution it turns blue-black showing the presence of starch

the parts where the green colored pigment is absent ,on pouring the iodine solution it turns brown showing the absence of starch

this proves that chlorophyll is necessary for photosynthesis
