Plss answer 2 questions of 1 Mark written below :
1) What is the reciprocal of an irrational number ?
2) The mean and median of the data are respectively 20 and 22 . What is the value of mode ?

1. The reciprocal of an irrational number is also irrartional.

2.
3Median = Mode + 2Mean,
By substituting the values,
3 (22) = Mode + 2 (20)
66 = Mode + 40
Mode = 66 - 40
Mode = 26

The reciprocal of any irrational number is irrational. Proof: Let x be an irrational number. Suppose 1/x is rational. Then 1/x = a/b where a and b are integers, a ≠ 0 (since 0 is a rational number) and b ≠ 0.


2.Mode = 3(median) - 2(mean)
= 26.
