Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Here side of the small sq is d /root2 and side of it sq. Is

Area of small sq/area of big square

= d/2 / d

=1/2

Therefore ratio is 1:2

nehafarmsp8t2qu: How did u get 1:2 directly from d root2 /d
nitinvignesh234: It is d/2
nitinvignesh234: cancel d
nehafarmsp8t2qu: Thanks

Answer: Ratio (outer : inner) = 4:1

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of circle = side of outer square = d

Diagonal of inner square = diameter of circle =d

Diagonal of inner square = side * root 2

d = side * root 2

side of inner square = d/root 2

Area ratio:             [formula:- Area = side^2 or a^2]

Outer square = d^2

Inner square = [d/root2]^2 = d^2/4

Required ratio = d^2 : d^2/4 = 1: 1/4 = 4:1

nitinvignesh234: It is 1/2
nehafarmsp8t2qu: Yes it's 1/2
Anonymous: Yeah!! My mistake.. root2^2 = 2... i'd wrongly entered it as 4
