Answer:

Weight of Box A = 14.50 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

So, first lets make an equation,

Weight of Box A - Box B = 2.50 kg

Weight of Box C - Box B = 10.25 kg

Also, Box A+ Box B+ Box C = 48.75 kg

To find: Weight of Box A

Solution:

A-B = 2.50 kg

A = 2.50 + B _____(1)

Also, C-B = 10.25kg

So, B = C - 10.25 kg _______(2)

A+B+C= 48.75

On substituting (1) and (2)

2.50 + C - 10.25 + C - 10.25 + C = 48.75

3C - 18 = 48.75

3C = 48.75 + 18 = 66.75

C = 66.75 / 3 = 22.25kg ____ (4)

Now, on substituting (4) in (2)

B = 22.25 - 10.25 = 12kg _____(5)

On substituting (5) in (1)

A =  2.50 + 12 = 14.50kg

∴ Weight of Box A is 14.50 kg
