\huge\bold\star\red{Answer}

Let the breadth=x

the length =x+15

given perimeter= 150

we know

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

150 = 2( x+ x+15)

75 = 2x +15

60 = 2x

30=x

therefore breadth = 30 cm

length = 30 +15 = 45 cm

check

check 150 = 2( 45+30)

check 150 = 2( 45+30)150 = 2(75)

150 = 150

LHS=RHS

Step-by-step explanation:

{\red{\underline{\underline{\bold{Given:-}}}}}

  • The length of a rectangle is 15cm more than its width

  • The perimeter of the rectangle is 150cm

{\blue{\underline{\underline{\bold{To\:Find:-}}}}}

  • The dimensions of the rectangle ( The length and the width)

{\green{\underline{\underline{\bold{Solution:-}}}}}

Let the width of the rectangle be xcm

According to the given question:-

The length of the rectangle = (x + 15)cm

The perimeter of rectangle = 2( length + width)

Given,

Perimeter = 150 cm

Therefore:-

2(x + x + 15) = 150 \\  \\  \implies2(2x + 15) = 150 \\  \\  \implies4x + 30 = 150 \\  \\  \implies4x = 150 - 30 \\  \\  \implies4x = 120 \\  \\  \implies  x =  \frac{120}{4}  = 30

Hence:-

The width of the rectangle = x = 30cm

The length of the rectangle = x+15 = 30+15 = 45cm

{\</strong><strong>pink</strong><strong>{\underline{\underline{\bold{</strong><strong>Verification</strong><strong>:-}}}}}

2( length + width) = 150

2( 30+ 45) = 150

2( 75) = 150

150 = 150
